S81 File Lien at Land Title Office - Request

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS users to initiate a lien on a debtor’s property at the Land Titles Office (LTO).

 

1.        MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

            The following groups have access to this screen:

 

·         Call Center Agent

·         Collection Agents (RGPU, File Intervention, Compliance 4)

·         Compliance Support Agent (only update when confirming)

·         Compliance 5 Agent

·         MEP Senior Management

·         ISO Agent

·         SIU Agent

·         Supervisor/Team Lead

 

Helpful Hints:

·         Only Collection Agents have ability to reqeust the registration of the land titles lien.

·         Only initiated LTO requests can be abandoned, confirmed requests may not be abandoned.

·         L28 – Debtor Notice of Filing at LTO

 

Procedure:

 

1.       Enter the desired MEP file number into the field labeled ‘File Number’ and then click the ‘Get’ button to retrieve the file.

2.       Select the appropriate land title office, either Northern or Southern.

3.       Enter the land title description in the box labeled ‘Land Title Description’. (Lot Plan Block, etc)

4.       Enter your remarks in the field labeled ‘Remarks’.

5.       Click the ‘Request’ button to finalize the process.

6.       MIMS will:

Ø      Generate a low priority work task for the support staff to prepare the formal LTO lien request documents to be sent to the Land Titles Office.

 

7.       The system redisplays the LTO collection tool with the status updated as the registration process has now been initiated.

Maximum length of 400 characters.

Remarks

Enter any additional remarks.

Maximum length of 200 characters.
